Don't tempt them; I'm sure somebody will come up with a bunch of scientific gobbledygook citing the increasing obesity of Americans as evidence of human-causation for gravity, or our obsession with time-based efficiency in business as a causitive factor of relativity. Investigation is one thing; "curing" what may not actually be our fault is something completely different, even if we could make macro-scale changes to the earth's climate, which I don't think is even possible given current technology.

The whole bloody thing is politics, Etta--the science is just educated speculation on both sides. The difference is we're being told to believe and commit vast resources largely on faith to one side in particular, and I already have a religion.

Be careful yall, or your pets will be brought into the discussion when you are told you are wrong. Really quite humerous in my opinion. This whole discussion reminds me back when I used to debate the flying saucer believers. No amount of logic or data would persuade the true believers to take into account any other point of view. Oh well, I almost got my house painted today and I am going to eat all you can eat crab legs tonight and I aint gonna worry about global warming.

I think that gravity is a theory, not a fact. And, I think Einstein's theory of relativity is a theory, not a fact. Facts are observed and a theory is developed based on those facts. Sometimes people develop different theories based on the same facts.
In their time they were not so revered for their stature, were they?

Your arguments are beginning to look like a bad thread at DU.

Well the difference between Spielberg and the rest of the world is average people who think this are crazy, rich people who think this are eccentric.
