At the birth of this nation, the people organized and fought to make this nation into what it is today. If other folks want the same, they should start organizing themselves and spilling more of their own blood.

As far as Iraq, I feel that if Sadaam was a TRUE threat, then we did the right thing but we made a mess of the aftermath. Time for their people to dedicate more of their own resources if they truly want to live in a democratic or republic manner.

I too am against us spending so much of our money on feeding other countries. Where is it OUR choice to decide that we do this? Its the pople we elected but alot of times these programs are formed without anything being able to be done about it. By God we pay enough taxes and the money we spend on others could go back into our own economy or be used to better our infastructure.

Sounds like Haiti is up for grabs as of this morning too? Do we get a bulk discount if we take over 2?

Corn is becoming the issue. The boondoggle that is Ethanol (along with it's massive subsidies), has much to do with this.

2008 Election..."Imbrace your ignorance, and vote your preference".

It's quite simple, really...
If you vote for Obama, you are a fu*king idiot.
If you vote for McCain, you are a fu*king idiot.
If your vote is for the lessor of two evils, then you can be comforted knowing that you're less of a fu*king idiot than the other guy!

Because Fritz says so!

He's about to ignore the election results and possible go to war to remain in power. This goes against the very principles of democracy. So why is it that we give a sh!t about democracy in Iraq and no where else?
Careful what you wish for (and no, I know you're not wishing for it). My point is our effort to spread democracy throughout the world may not be over. We were once interested in Somalia and concerned about feeding the people there too. We tied the hands of our troops pretty well, then pulled out when we endured the "Black Hawk Down" incident...which we actually ended up killing many of the a-holes that were controlling food distribution for power.

While I disagree with the mission change in Iraq from neutralizing a perceived threat to spreading a flourishing democracy, I actually think the handling of issues in some (not all) of the African countries is good. We seem to be staying out of their business and striking here & there where we believe terrorists are hiding.
