Clinton touts her experience with guns
April 12, 2008
Clinton touts her experience with guns Posted: 07:00 PM ET VALPARAISO, Indiana (CNN) — Hillary Clinton appealed to Second Amendment supporters on Saturday by hinting that she has some experience of her own pulling triggers. “I disagree with Sen. Obama’s assertion that people in our country cling to guns and have certain attitudes about trade and immigration simply out of frustration,” she began, referring to the Obama comments on small-town Americans that set off a political tumult on Friday. She then introduced a fond memory from her youth. “You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught me how to shoot when I was a little girl,” she said. “You know, some people now continue to teach their children and their grandchildren. It’s part of culture. It’s part of a way of life. People enjoy hunting and shooting because it’s an important part of who they are. Not because they are bitter.” Minutes later, in a slightly awkward moment, Clinton faced a question from a woman in the audience whose son had been paralyzed by a gunshot. The woman asked Clinton what she would do about gun control as president. Clinton touted her husband's record on gun control during his administration, and said "there is not a contradiction between protecting Second Amendment rights" and the effort to reduce crime. Noting that many hunters and gun collectors want to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals, Clinton referred to her positive childhood experiences with firearms. "As I told you, my dad taught me how to shoot behind our cottage,” she said. “I have gone hunting. I am not a hunter. But I have gone hunting." Clinton said she has hunted ducks. CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - Clinton touts her experience with guns « - Blogs from CNN.com Here's Hillary's attempt to have it both ways on the issue of 2A rights. I'm not a hunter and do not own guns for this purpose. I do not understand how she and Obama both think the strategy of appealing to gun owners and the NRA based on hunting only will work. I know it's all they have but their past records speak for themselves IMO.

They all are Frenchy. Sadly we have become a society where we pick the lesser of the evils to be our leader.

Yep...that second amendment is about preserving the rights of hunters and gun collectors. What a gal! Her comments haven't changed my opinion of her one bit. She's a disgusting, power-hungry, lying, piece of sh*t that slice her own child's throat if she thought it would gain her more power. She is the most repulsive example of the scum that resides in DC. She has not one piece of moral fiber in her carcass. She has no love or respect for our troops, law enforcement, every day citizens, no one. She will pretend to care about whomever she thinks will get his just more ounce of power. She would just assume spit in every American's face as say hi. But she needs America's support today. She is an elitist socialist that is more than willing to sacrifice your wealth and the wealth of others to give to those that are either here illegally or unwilling to work...as long as you don't touch her pile of money and she can be in a power position. She is despicable POS!

And the evidence for all of this is??? If I made comments like this about John McCain, don't you think people might ask me for proof?

Is it necessary to call Hillary a bi*ch? I think it just makes the name-caller look bad when they call a woman a name like that.

This is the kind of rabid hatred and partisanship that I'm talking about. It's irrational.
