Let me try and explain....I had written a response to a different post. When I was finished I cut out a good part of it for several reasons. What I had posted here regarding the "backlash' comment (and the rest, except for the final paragraph having to do with you) was what I had cut from the earlier response and saved to Wordpad (i try and remember to actually use Wordpad or something other than the XDTalk response program since I've lost a bunch of responses when relying on the XDTalk program)....don't know why, but it can be frustrating...on the other hand it often gives me the opportunity to re-think some "knee-jerk' resposes; to maybe forget them altogether, which is wise more often than not.

So forgive me for having another "knee-jerk' reaction....I used an old response which was a lazy way of doing things and while it may have been somewhat relevant, it was certainly not 'fresh" or even completely appropriate to what I hoped to address. i realized it was not appropriate to characterize you in the mix of those I feel only express negative and never positive aspects of a candidate and seem to almost exclusively do it based on emotion (often baseless) rather than of facts....which is humorous to a degree since these same people can and do so often demand facts when it suits their purposes....they seem to tenaciously cling to this double standard since it serves them well so often. (or at least is seems they do).

I personally think that if we got Hillary out for a day on the range. Get my buddies to bring out the Class 3 goodies, and let her rip, she would probably convert like EVERY OTHER non-gunner that I have taken to the range. She would love it. Then head to the bar after for some beers.

Run Hillary run...run for the center! Its laughable...slamming whikey shots and talking about shooting. Jeez! Could she BE farther from her element? I guess these are things one has to do if you're not comforable in your own skin and are dying for the approval of average folks. Sadness!

I am not saying that what she has said about learning to shoot is not true. It may be the truth, but with her penchant for stretching things (remember the Bosnia sniper whopper?) who really thinks this woman is capable of being truthful about anything? Is there anyone that find her personality appealing or thinks she is a genuine person? Only the idealogues can really like this woman. Deep down anyone elese that votes for her knows she's phoney.

No need to call her names, she is what she is and no amount of trying to appear average will change many people's opinions on her. She's simply not likeable to most of the country, outside major urban areas.

The thing is Etta is yes there is hatred here for Hillary just like there is for Obama. You call this a partisan hatred, almost claiming that everyone here hates them because they are democrats. That isn't the case, they are hated because of their wavering and pandering on some issues and there stance on others. It has nothing to do with partisanship because very few people here like McCain. I have not seen anyone saying how much they like McCain, he is only supported here because he is the lesser of the 3 evils at this point. I can't stand McCain, but I can't stand Hillary and Obama even more. I think they would be absolutely horrible as leaders of this country. I don't think the McCain would be a very good leader either, but he is not pushing for some of the things the others are. I may not have been around for a long time, but I have never before heard the things that Obama and Hillary are pushing if they get elected. They think the economy is bad now? Just wait until one of them gets elected.

What really interests me is how you come running to the aide of Hillary and Obama and for what they believe. It really makes me question the issues that you believe in and that's fine, but you portray yourself as an independent with conservative leanings but your history of posts on this board suggest otherwise. It seems if not for your 2A stance, you would be/are a full-blown liberal.
