Why in the world did you have to bring the truth about what the Democrats said and did into this?

We all know that the President is the only one responsible for the Iraq war and he should have better foresight than everyone else's hindsight.

I agree that they are hypocrites about Iraq. All of the people in the video, I believe, except Nancy Pelosi, voted for the Iraq War Resolution, so they supported using force against Saddam.

What we don't know is what century it will be before a Bushophile will ever admit that a president charging to war should have his facts straight before he starts getting marines slaughtered to prop up a corrupt theocracy.

What an odd state of the world when those among us like myself who think Marines are too valuable to waste in a war not directed against our true enemies are labeled as those who "don't support the troops", and the people loudly cheering this fool's errand claim to be the only true patriots.

But, when a spinmaster like Rove or Cheney starts slinging the BS, truth is always the first casualty.

I agree the dems were spineless and I said so at the time. They should have stood up to Bush, but they were afraid of his "either you support my war or you support the terrorists" BS ploy. There isn't a single politician in Washington with an ounce of guts who will stand up for what's right.

Get over it.

Bush and the rest of the government all had the SAME intel. That intel was as accurate as could be had (SEVERAL countries had the same intel and had reached the same conclusions as our government) and a very large majority in Congress and the Senate voted for the war. The actual tally was: Congress 296 to 133 for and in the Senate 77 to 23 for. Only after the war was started was there any real evidence that started the idea that the intel was not as accurate as EVERYONE believed.

And it's not just the Marines that are getting killed. There are dead from all the branches and the largest death toll is in the Army. WHY? Because the Army has the most troops in country and always has. And when I say all branches, that means Reserves and National Guard.

The problem is that now people call it "Bush's War" like he was the only one that had any responsibility for starting it.

That video shows that idea is completely false.

I go back to my old question...Was the US in imminent danger of attack?

If you vote for Obama, you are a fu*king idiot.
If you vote for McCain, you are a fu*king idiot.
If your vote is for the lessor of two evils, then you can be comforted knowing that you're less of a fu*king idiot than the other guy!

The US had already been attacked.

There was intelligence presented that linked Saddam to Al-Qaeda and Al-Qaeda to the Taliban. The intelligence was deemed accurate by both Houses as well as the President.

If that intel has since been proven wrong, it is still the intel that led to the Senate and the House voting for the Iraq war. Nothing can change that.

What else is there to say about an issue that was voted on 5 years ago?

Quit deliberately misunderstanding me Frenchy.

Al-Qaeda attacked the US. That is indisputable.

Saddam was believed to have been a big financial supporter of Al-Qaeda and was believed to be providing a safe haven for them. The US was not alone in this belief.

It was also believed that he had WMDs and would provide them to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban for use against our troops in Afghanistan and against our population here in the US.

Saddam had ignored repeated warnings and openly dismissed UN resolutions about WMDs in Iraq.

These publicly known items along with any intel that only the Senate, Congress and the President were privy to led to the declaration of war against Iraq.
