The only kernel of truth I could find in the article. And this is a biggie:

Fact 3. Europe, the United States, China, India, Japan are utterly dependent on a free flow of Middle Eastern oil at market prices. If there is a real interruption in the oil supply, food will be priced out of the range of the poor, hospitals will close, naval battles will take place, people will die. Oil is blood.

At least someone is willing to say it is about oil. Although with a bit of spin. We don't seem to care about most of the poor starving around the world. And currently, people are dying FOR oil.

I knew this war would end up much like it has right now. Many lives lost, dwindling public support, all out negative reporting by the mainstream media, used as a wedge in every election since its start and a huge waste of money. Not to mention the vulture-like contractors that are looting that bird, nine ways to Sunday. We have never done very well at this nation-building excercise...why did we think we'd majically get THIS ONE right?

On top of it all...we have not learned a da*m thing. We are no less dependent on foreign oil sources and the price of a gallon of gas is twice what it was when Bush took office in 2000. On top of it all, we managed to make the rest of the world distrust and hate us even more than they already did.

Surely there was a better way to contain or rub out Saddam, keep terrorists out of the USA and find alternative places for us to get our oil without the expense, loss of lives and misery. The chances of us exiting Iraq and having any part of this look like a success is very, very slim.
