Matt Lauer / Pwned Over Media Bias

DeLay Schools Lauer on MSM Bias: 'Amazing Double-Standard' | NewsBusters.org

http://newsbusters.org/static/2007/0...0-NBCToday.wmvIt's

rare to see a leading MSM light directly confronted over the liberal media's bias. But it happened in spades this morning as Tom DeLay (R-Texas) called out Matt Lauer on the MSM's double-standard in handling Republican, versus Democrat, scandals

Reading this reminds me of ......
Quote:
Fe-fe, fi-fi, fo-fo, fum
I smell smoke in the auditorium

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me)

That's him on his knees
I know that's him
Yeah, from 7 come 11
Down in the boys' gym

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me)

Who's always writing on the wall
Who's always goofing in the hall
Who's always throwing spit balls
Guess who (who, me) yeah, you

Who walks in the classroom, cool and slow
Who calls the English teacher, Daddy-O

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me)

[Instrumental Interlude]

Who walks in the classroom, cool and slow
Who calls the English teacher, Daddy-O

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me)

Tom DeLay and credibility???? Hmmmm? Sorry I don't care if he called the Pope "the Pope" there is nothing that douche bag can say that I will care to hear.

The name Tom Delay and the word credibility don't often collide in the same sentence.

About the situation that's going on in Washington today and including both Democrats and Republicans.
Fair assessment IMO.

In this specific case, it's "the broken clock is still right twice a day"... DeLay's MSM-Bias point it well taken.

And, his statement with regard to both Democrat and Republican scandals: "There are scandals that need to be addressed. Republicans address them, Democrats re-elect them." is generally accurate... Spitzer (D-NY) resigning and Larry Craig (R-ID) staying in office being exceptions to the rule.

I can think of several Dems who remained in\were re-elected to office after scandal just off the top of my head (living proximate to Chicago helps with this one):
- Gus Savage, IL
- Mel Reynolds, IL
- Richie Daley, Chicago mayor) is so immersed in scandal, it is "city business as usual"
- We in IL have only had two governors since the Otto Kerner days (first elected in 1960) who have NOT been involved in scandals (both were Repubs), and at least two governors have served jail time (after their terms expired)
- It's only a matter of time until current gov Rod Blagojevich gets tied to the Rezko/Influence scandals

Some others...
- Alan Mollohan, WV
- William Jefferson, LA
- John Wilder, TN
- Marion Barry, DC
- Ward Crutchfield, TN
- Kathry Bowers, TN
- Barney Frank, MA
- an assortment of Kennedys (the Bloviater, plus take your pick), MA

At least Spitzer, NY, resigned... give credit where due.

Also give credit to Sen. Clinton for sending her condolences to the Governor and his family in these tough times...that's bullsh!t...he wasn't diagnosed with cancer, he wasn't in a car accident, he cheated on his wife, violated his marriage, and completely betrayed his teenage daughters with what he did. She should have come out and blasted him for it, but no, he's a Democrat and we're just going to send our condolences and hope things work out for the best.

She does have a viewpoint, but one would think it would be with his wife since she has been there many times
