Swan Song

I am out. I came to the realization that I have nothing to offer of value in the political area of the forum, in the gun related areas of the forum, or any other area for that matter. So, I am done. I will no longer clutter up things with posts that lack any substantial or intelligent thought. Have a good Spring Equinox!!!

What are you talking about? I like your posts. It isn't about your final grade, it is about class participation. I have learned so much on this forum. Mainly learned more about my own beliefs. They get challenged. I doubt I have changed anyone's opinions here. What I get out of is why I think what I do. Other share info and it has made me research more. While I might not have changed my mind, I am so much more informed than I was before.

I contribute nothing to this forum. I don't know crap about guns which is why I came. I've done everything to my XD I wanted. I am getting a shot gun soon. I don't have anything of much value to add to gun discussions. But I will offer what little experience I have. For the most part, after you stay a while, personalities grow on you and you figure some things out. I don't feel like going anywhere else to start over. I belong to a XJ forum which I was very active on, and a Subie forum to help my fix my car, and a BWM forum to find out more info on my next car. Only here do I engage in political discussion, but I have learned soooo much from all the different points of view.

Stick around. See how it plays out. You gotta start somewhere.

Careful, politics is addicting. When you start to really figure out what people are really suggesting we do with this nation, you can get pretty heated.

At times I wish I was dumb to the idea of what others wish for this country.
I agree, it can be very frustrating.

Jeff,
Hangout, stay and all that kind of stuff. Powerman is right. You can learn a lot about many things here. I have discovered many excellent sources reside at XDTALK.
This place might have a focus that is the Springfield XD, but it really is about people!!!!

That's exactly right and the main reason why I'm hear more than any other forum.

There are other forums.

Jeff, you are going to do what you want and that of course, is entirely up to you, but I even if you don't care to post for awhile, you can still read. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here and it is fairly easy to pick up something new that can help you; not only with firearms, but maybe just life in general or specific, i.e. computers, cars, etc.

Tho the ultimate choice is yours, my 2 cents is to stay around. It is good for a laugh occasionally if nothing else.

Like I said over in the Chatter Box.... I think its time to stay away from the Political View. There are people here that are able to convey a thought in an intelligent manner of which I am unable to accomplish. I don't think I am smart enough to participate here really. Yes, I have a college degree and all, but anyone can get that. It aint that hard. Anyway, I am gonna be a lurker for awhile.

Thanks for letting me play,
Jeffrey

I hope you stay and participate, Jeff. The whole thing about political debate is to try to act like you're smarter than your opponent, so a lot that goes on here is just puffing one's chest out, and in some cases, bluffing.
