Brady Campaign... proven wrong... YET AGAIN!

I'm going through my copy of American Rifleman, and I'm reading an article about the relationship of gun control and violent crimes, with statistics from the Brady Campaign and the VPC (Violence Policy Center). It doesn't take much to know that the Brady Campaign's idea of gun control is a total joke, and nothing short of treason against law-abiding US citizens. But some of the highlights given in this article are great!

Quote:
  • Demonstrating the irrelevance of Brady's scores to reality, California, which has the most gun control of any state and therefore got Brady's highest score (79), has violent crime and murder rates that are 14% and 23% higher, respectively, than rates in the rest of the country.
  • Brady didn't bother giving a score to Washington, D.C., which has even more restrictive gun control than California and even higher crime rates.
  • Most of the 38 states that got 20 or fewer points have total violent crime, murder and robbery rates that are below the national rates.
Good work, Brady, proving that you're wrong! You can find the article "Brady Campaign and VPC: Whose Side Are They On, Anyway?" in the April 2008 issue of American Rifleman.
