As a political leader, he showed a lot of skill in getting almost everything he wanted from Congress. I don't know what hold the guy had over everyone, but it was amazing how everyone - even the Democrats - marched in lockstep with the Bush agenda. It's scary.

1. Decimating AQ and preventing further attacks on the US.
2. Preventing war between India and Pakistan (nuclear war.)
3. Turned India (in the process) into a strategic allie. They now will probably buy huge US weapons systems (carriers/planes) versus Russian.
4. Had Pak arrest Kahn - their nuke guy who sold info to Iran/
5. Convinced Libya to give up it's nuke program.
6. Convinced NKorea to shut down it's reactor, by applying pressure on China.
7. Pressured repubs to cut agricultural subsidies.
8. Been a huge player in AID's treatment in Africa... led the world.
9. Appointed John Bolton to the UN... he still should be there.
10. He's implemented the surge, and will be credited for establishing the first democracy in a muslim nation....

duh... one of the main things I repeatedly point to and I forgot all about it....

also, the hundreds of other federal judges he's appointed - most are very solid conservatives - strict/constructionists...

Why? The founders thought each branch should be independent, what's wrong with the separation of powers? It's been the rule since inception.

I'm Catholic, so that accusation doesn't apply.
