Question What happens to BDS come 1/21/09?

Just wondering what\who will become the focus of the 'Bush Derangement Syndrome' crowd following the inauguration of the next president?

Please post your guesses\projections.

The 'Bush Derangement Syndrome' will be just like the XXXX Derangement Syndrome from every prior public official. How many here dislike Hillary because of Bill. I do. I shouldn't, but I do. It will take a very short time to forget GW, (except for blaming him for the economy and war) once he's gone. Anyone who wanted to keep working in politics bailed on him a year ago. I imagine he'll keep his mouth shut or the party will do it for him.

I dislike Hillary because of Hillary. She obviously does not need the help of her husband to be an idiot.

Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are.

True. I am humbled for my bad example.

It depends.

If McCain somehow wins, it will be him.

If we have a democrat president, which I would bet real money on, it will probably fall to the most outspoken Republican congressman. Newt was the target before Bush.

To be fair, there was a fair amount of Clinton Derangement Syndrome during his run. I never understood the Republican venom against him. I didn't/don't like him and the fact is he was just a "place-holder" president, but there was a group of Republicans that hated everything he did, whether it was right or wrong. The same is true now of Bush II.

The left will claim that it will be that way for Hillary/Barack. The fact is, I HATE everything they stand for...well, almost everything. Big government socialism, stripping of rights from one group and giving special rights to others, stealing my hard earned money and giving it to folks who have no intention of working for it themselves... But the left will claim those who disagree with all that are just "deranged" or heartless.

Spot on! As much as I intensely disliked (maybe despised is a more accurate word) Bill Clinton, it was embarrassing to see how he was hounded in office, and I fully expected whoever would become the next elected Republican president would be pay for this behavior.

Somewhere in the '90s respect for the Office of the President was lost, and I think both Republicans and Democrats had a hand in this. Clinton's "situation" should have been handled with more grace.

The difference between CDS and BDS, as I see it, is the degree of vitriol and rabid hatred. If you view comments at certain websites, there are people who claim to become physically ill by the mere thought or image of President Bush. People calling for his assassination, for ill will upon his family, and on and on. I just do not recall the Republicans, at their worst, sinking to that level.

On a lighter note, the reason I posted this topic in the first place, was to see what the BDS crowd would do for their recreation and spleen-venting once the next president assumes office.

I suspect they will have a hatred vacuum, and they might even implode.
