Hillary a good republican?
Just thought I would share this with you guys since it gave me a good chuckle.
My wife and I were at my mom's house today to attend my grandmother's funeral. My mom subscribes to Reader's Digest and I found an article about Melvin Laird while I was flipping through it. For those who don't know, Mr. Laird was a Naval officer in WWII and served as a cabinet or staff member for several Presidents, including Secretary of Defense, and was in Congress for 8 or 9 terms. In this article, Mr. Laird was interviewed and is quoted as saying that Hillary (Rodham) Clinton was a good republican when she worked for him in the late 60's or early 70's. Oh how the times have changed. The article is worth picking up the issue at the grocery store. |
