Who will pay down the deficit? And how?

I can't think of a single way except to raise taxes.

You can 'tax and spend", you can "borrow and spend"...but you just cannot print up money at will and spend.

Peace,
D.

Unsure of of who to vote for? ASK A US SOLDIER, SAILOR, AIRMAN or MARINE. Regardless of who they pick, VOTE FOR THEIR CHOICE

Cut spending. You sound just like the democrats.

What do you do if you have a deficit in your home finances? Curtail unecessary spending. Unfortunately most people just get a credit card instead, like the US is bascially doing.

Besides...."cutting spending' does NOT pay down the deficit. That takes money. Real money.

uhhhh, if you cut spending you can use the savings to pay down the debt.

If you cut spending enough so that tax revenues are higher than what we spend, you will have something that is called a surplus.

The surplus can be used to pay down the debt and close the deficit.

I know it's a pipe dream knowing our government, but it is pretty simple logic.

Well, that's at least 3 times we agree on something.

See the "Obama is a bad man' thread for starters. 'Weaponize space?' Yeah, we need to spend $100000000000000000000000000000 or more on that! Ask around....it's a great idea and needed badly because we don't have enough weapons on the planet.

Imagine two guys in a swimming pool filled with gasonline. Does it matter who has the most matches?

peace,
d.
