Fred Thompson blogs on the recent Brit hostage incident

He's posting over at Redstate.com:

http://www.redstate.com/stories/fore...ates_of_tehran

"The UN Security Council summoned its vaunted multilateral greatness to issue a swift statement of sincere uneasiness."

Interesting--not the usual canned "politician-speak" we usually hear. He actually sounds like a human being. I'm curious to see if he becomes a regular contributor there or if it's just a one-time thing, as I'd like to hear more from him before the primaries (hopefully he runs).

I have watched Fred Thompson for several years off and on. I would like to hear a presidential platform from him immediately after he announces that he is running. There are a lot of already announced candidates who would be much worse from what I know now.

Excellent. I'd vote for Fred if he ran. Super guy.

The only thing that I would have a hard time with is supposedly is his stance on illegal aliens isn't very pro-enforcement. BUT he is a strong pro-lifer and 2nd Amendment guy. If he runs he has my vote.

Thanks for the link.

It is good to see a prominent figure speak his mind about the UN.

I hope he runs. If he is going to, he better hurry up. I have been encouraged by recent polls that show him in the low double-digits even though he is not even an announced candidate. He could be a viable alternative to the rinos.
