The real problem comes in because he advocated violence. HE wants us dead...

The citizens of the United States also have the right to live w/o fear of threats whether they be foreign or DOMESTIC! This guy is advocating jihad and the slaughter of Americans. That alone should be enough for the government to investigate, interrogate, etc this guy. It would be one thing if he were just griping about the government, but to want jihad on the whole nation and it's people is another thing. This should not be taken lightly. But I am confident with our current society and government, nothing will be done about this idiot. The ACLU will come to his defense. CAIR will call him a hero. I see him being the next poster child of the democratic party. They may address his disturbing behavior and feelings, but it will be more along the lines of "What made this intelligent individual want to feel this way? What did society do to cause these feelings in him?" Get my drift?

Umm actualy you dont have a right to not live in fear... I actualy think we are on the same page though. If he would have simply been voicing support for the insergence, that would have been one thing...But whne you start outright advocating violence as a solution, then there is a problem.


Also to be fair I know many here feel strongly enough that they would advocate violence to further their cause/protect their rights...If it ever gets that bad.

Well, I did write to my state representative, who also just happens to be speaker of the house for ohio, and I actually got a real live reply instead of a form letter. Here it is....

We have made an inquiry into this matter with Kent State University and their response is attached.

Please know that I take the health and safety of all Ohioans very seriously and I will hold Kent State and Professor Pino accountable if any policies or laws are determined to have been violated. I share your concerns regarding this Web site.

Julio Pino, an associate professor of history at Kent State University, is being accused of authoring an anti-American Web site. This site has no connection to Kent State, and we object to having the university’s name linked to it. When the issue came to our attention, we investigated the issue and found the following:

nWe have no evidence that this Web site is authored by Pino – that is not his picture on the site, and it contains no reference to him or to Kent State. In any case, there is no connection between this site and the university.

nNo university servers or other resources have been used to create or maintain the site.

nFurther, there have been no complaints registered about Julio Pino’s classroom conduct or demeanor, by students or other instructors.

nThe opinions on the Web site do not represent the university. We do not speak for Pino nor defend any views he might have, and he does not speak for Kent State, his department or other faculty.

nThe university and Pino have been subjected to hate mail and threats, and we will continue to monitor the issue.

nRegarding calls that Dr. Pino be summarily dismissed: As any employer, when deciding whether an employee should be terminated, we have a responsibility to follow proper processes as outlined by university procedures and protections under the law.

The university has asked those blogs and other sources to refrain from writing or disseminating information that associates Kent State with this Web site.
