I figured this was the most appropriate place to whine.
The use of netspeak/1337 or whatever people are calling it nowadays has to stop. It's ridiculous especially on a forum which advocates safe firearm usage which in turn I like to believe demonstrates intelligence. This kind of writing is showing up everywhere. Even on college exams! What the hell is "ur" any way? (you are you're your) I utilize xdtalk.com as a guide from experienced & intelligent people so I can see other points of view and the like. I admit. I am guilty of the occasional misspelling and the almost non-extistant use of any type of punctuation (apostrophes anyone?) and my sometimes questionable grammer. In the heat of a debate on the internet sometimes these things do take a back seat. (or in the middle of a rant about middleschool spelling)

I think you're making a bigger deal of this than it actually is.
Not many people here use it, or many people on any adult forums....at least not that I've seen. On top of that I believe that in a public forum people should be able to express their opinions through any non-obscene method that they want. Want to type in ebonics? leetspeak?....Sure...go ahead...we're a public forum and it's your privelege to do so. I generally think less of an individual when they use this modified moronic slang, but I'm not going to suggest we should ban it alltogether. - Ryan

(I work as the IT manager for a radio station) I used xdtalk as an example albeit a poor one in retrospect to try and keep my complaints in perspective. I had to fix a blantant spelling mistake!
