Hillary wants to "take profits"!
Hillary Clinton Already Making Policy
Friday , February 02, 2007 By John Gibson ![]() President Hillary Clinton started making policy today. At the DNC winter meetings in Washington she began to reveal some of the Clinton Part Deux agenda, which will kick into gear after her inauguration. Yesterday Exxon declared the biggest profit in the entire history of capitalism — $39 billion — and that did not escape Hillary's notice. Today she promised to tax Exxon on those huge profits, and tax those greedy capitalist pigs big time. Here's her quote: "I want to take those profits and put them into an alternative energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy alternatives that will actually begin to move us toward the direction of independence." She referred to those profits as the highest in the history of the world, and she said: "I want to take those profits..." Not I want to take part of those profits. "I want to take those profits," she said. Well hang on to your hats, oil company shareholders, because Hillary is after your profits. Now I've said that the heads of these companies that take obscenely enormous bonuses ought to restrain themselves and make less of a tempting target, and this is precisely the reason why. If the capitalists look like pigs there is always someone wanting to take the hogs to the slaughterhouse. And Hillary has stepped up to volunteer for the job. How many votes do you think she can get tapping into Americans' anger about gas prices? For all of my friends around here who are always screaming, "Hey, it's the free market!" I must say if it's President Hillary it might not be such a free market anymore. And do you really want to be the reason she got the votes to do it? I like Big Oil company profits because I think every American should have the opportunity to buy shares in a hugely profitable enterprise, as the oil companies have demonstrated they are. If, however, Hillary decides we shareholders shouldn't have the profits and they should go to the government instead, that will not be a good thing. Remember what Dick Morris said yesterday? He said she will win because she will bring out people who have never voted before, mainly women, and he said she will be the worst president since Harding because she will do things like bring back Hillary health care. Today in her own little way she gave a hint that maybe Dick Morris is right. This is an instance in which I hope Dick is wrong. That's My Word. ------------------------------------- Looks like Hillary is already preaching socialism. I guess it is ok with her if the government seizes profits and spends them how they see fit--or how Hillary thinks they should be spent. This is just another example of how far-left liberals think they can spend your money better than you. The government knows best. Everyone should be scared--Hillary could become President. I'm not sure I've ever seen even the farthest of leftists in today's political area say that they want to "take profits" from others. Frank

She is a very dangerous person to be in a position of power. Notice how she has ridden the fence on Iraq, voted with the "popular" majority when it suits her? She has attempted to seem like a moderate often. She's a pro and very very driven. In a way you could admire her for her savvy. She has the "I stood by my man" credibility, along with a voting record a lot of people will find OK. If only the Republicans can find a viable candidate that hasn't stepped in the poo to often.

She is always willing to sell out and change her positions according to the political climate. She has tried very hard to be a centrist for many years and now all of a sudden during the last couple of weeks she has come out as a strong-anti war candidate. I think she has done this because many of the far-left groups have been bashing her for supporting the war. We all need to pray that she doesn't become President. Frank

Why doesn't she donate the profits from her book to a fund? Oh yeah, that's because they are still all in stock at the Dollar Store!!

Perhaps Hillary makes too much money.
We should take her house and turn it into a homeless shelter. Perhaps some of the money from her book sales should be used to fund alternative energy research. Frank

I'm not sure anyone will elect Hillary. I think her running for president will split the Dem party at a critical time.

Yeah I'm not sure she will either. Most of my friends are dems and the general consensus is they don't trust her. But i'm ugly and don't have many friends so take it with a grain of salt LOL

I think Hillary has a good chance of becoming President.
My prediction is that she won't--especially since the Republican nominee is almost certainly going to be a moderate who will sell out his conservative base. Hillary hasn't fooled everyone--most know that she's not as moderate as she has tried to appear. Don't count her out though--she's got the Clinton machine behind her. We just have to keep reminding everyone that she is far-left and supports socialist ideals, like the stealing of profits to fund pet projects--like we see in the opening post of this thread. Frank
