Don't forget the other 'benefits' of limiting all firearm sales to be transfered through a dealer, the tax.

This is a state bill to be voted on by the state. As such, I don't have a problem with it. It's when the federals stick their nose into it, I got a problem.

They can pass all the laws they want to, but in the end two people will meet somewhere privately, exchange cash for guns, and go on about their lives.

What exactly are the rules now for private gun sales? (IMO) They should just make it that IF your CONVICTED of selling a gun to a felon, you get an automatic Year (per gun). Background checks should be voluntary. If you trust the person your selling to enough to put your ass on the line, then go right ahead. Problem solved.

In speech the republicans. In action the democrats.

Republcians pass gun control, democrats mostly just talk about it.

Time to fire all of them IMO.

It was recommended by our club instructor & FFL to have any purchaser fill out an ATF 4473. You don't actually need to do the background check since its a private transaction but the form will show that you had due diligence.
