When you are emotionally highly involved in a situation that you have allot of time/effort, or capital (political or otherwise) invested, you are often blind to reality and ignore any critics. Believe it or not that is human nature and is totally unrelated to party affiliation.

I don't think he lied. I think he's in bad shape and he's desperate. He's probably willing to try ANYTHING that could help him. I'm actually a MJF fan. MJF was manipulated plain and simple. he's sick, wants some shimmer of hope that someone will at least be able to make his disease more manageable, or even a miracle for being cured.

its sad, i like MJF, tho i couldn't stand his sister played by Tina Yothers in Family Ties that show was funny, i liked the BTTF movies, and even Teen Wolf (at the time) was a good watch.
