Yeah. 2 years old and they still really cant admit they screwed up. I'm sure they'll come around after the next election cycle.

SecureFlight got canned by Congress so DHS just changed the name and called it ATS. ATS is even more illegal as it directly contradicts 514(e) of Congress' 2007 appropriation passed by Congress and sign into law by GW in Oct to stop this type of record keeping. Of course GW probably included one of those great signing statement like this doesn't apply to me for I am above the law.

if it weren't for those various branches of government we would have been attacked by terrorists.

well so what if we were before, that's why we have the DHS now.

its not like we were attacked before that anyway, and an agency wasn't invented or upgraded. oh wait, the first WTC bombing...

The first WTC bombing has been reported as being backed by the FBI. The terrorists were trained and supported, but the official story is that they did not interveine in time to stop the bombing, or something like that.
