Right tool for the right job, I say.

I guess I'd rather have a safe full of old Mausers, Enfields, Mosins and Springfields than a gussied up AR or AK.

Old is cool.

Not to mention the expense of all that gadgetry. 223s go through alot of drywall and travel quite a distance. That evil-looking rifle and its attachments won't play well infront of a Grand Jury, either.

The 223 / 5.56 round has less penetration then 9MM in drywall. Which is why the majority of SWAT teams adopted 5.56 vs. traditional sub gun rounds like 9MM. And to the junk you put on the rifle it's all about seeing and hitting the target the first shot and every shot after. EoTech or Aimpoint w/ flashlight doesn't break the bank.

Arguing you don't need 30 rounds is like saying you don't need more then 6 rnds in your handgun. Shouldn't confuse needs vs. wants and what you use. Would I shoot 30 rnds in the house? Probably not unless I have more then 15 zombies attacking...

As to the Grand Jury, trials and lawsuits. Castle Doctrine RULES!!!!!! at least in states that have it like Colorado. I LOVE my EVIL BLACK RIFLES!

It just comes down to what you're comfortable with.
