I don't want to get too in depth, but I've never understood where we get to choose who gets to make what weapons, especially if we have the same ones. I understand the possible threat. If this "club has a lot of members" and they ever decide American soil is their place to play, they won't have to start the draft for me to get me into action.

Don't even think of underestimating how absolutely hardass the soldiers in NK are. They are some of the toughest guys on the planet. Look at how they fought during the Korean "conflict". These aren't a bunch of parade wussies like Saddam's crew, Absolutely no disrespect to our troops. You just need to be realistic if you are picking a fight with Peewee Herman or Mike Tyson, even if you can kick both of their butts.

I agree. The NK's have the third largest standing army on the planet. And then add Big Brother China into the mix...

Yeah their hardcore for sure. But if we started building up our troops they would stand up and pay attention.

Possibly, but I think their reaction to being concerned/scared is that they will just amp up their troops and nuke program (as they continue to let their population starve to death) rather than back down. They kinda react to threats that way.

One of my buddies when he was serving in Vietnam was camped out next to a ROK unit. The ROKs took a couple mortar rounds one night. Next morning they got up, had a nice breakfast, and then went out and killed every living thing, man, woman, child, pig, chicken, you name it, within mortar range of their unit. No more problems with mortar attacks. Granted, these guys were from the south, but I sense the same sort of response from KJI III and his crew to a perceived threat from the US.

Actually I have to apologize for that remark. After shutting down the computer I realized I had just done exactly what I gripe at everyone else for.

And your right. I don't think there are many people who relish the idea of going to war. However, don't take that to mean I'd move to Canada.
