Hypothetical Situation

Okay, so I'm sure it's been discussed before but I'd still like to see what folks have to say.

Let's say, hypothetically, that the anti-gun whackos got their heyday and it became illegal to own a gun. Let's say that the police gave you 1 year to turn in all your firearms after which time it became a felony with a sentence of 8 to 10 to be caught with a firearm at all.

I'm interested to know how many people would be willing to break the law to keep their guns?

I'll give you my answer, I would, although I would be VERY silent about it.

i have some guns that my grandfather gave me. when he gave them to me, he looked me straight in the eye and said, "don't ever report to any authority that you have these. if there is ever a law passed saying you can't own a gun, noone will know you have these, and you can keep them..."

I would comply fully. Besides I couldn't afford my bills a year or so back and had to sell off the lot.
