Today's papers are proclaiming that Afghanistan's opium production this year is up 50% from last year - the highest ever recorded.

War on terror, my ass.

What happened to the BS that we were fed a while back about how buying illegal drugs supported terrorists?????

How many coalition troops are in Afghanistan.....? Why are they looking the other way in this matter?

Are we allowing Afghanistan to produce opium in exchange for their supposed alliance?

This is ridiculous.

At least if the people running this country would 'fess up to being on dope they'd have an excuse for being so inept.

....beats hell out of no excuse at all.

I think Bush is back on the crank. He seems to be having long periods of the "deer in the headlights" look lately. Especially when you ask him questions about why his approval rating is so low, why his response to Katrina was so bad, or what he is doing to help the economy, or how the war in Vietna... or Iraq was related to 9/11....

Boy, the list just goes on for days!

He really should read up on history, especially countries that try to fight wars on 3 fronts. Not that the world in general doesnt despise America enough (mainly because of Bush), but the last thing we need is to start yet another war, and get our asses kicked.

Why don't you guys visit the families of soldiers who died in Afghanistan and tell them their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, husbands, wives,.......were "looking the other way" and died for dope.

Pathetic scumbags like some of you have no respect for our soldiers.
