Its really simple...if you do NOT want to discuss anything political...stay out of this forum...right?

And if you DO lurk here...be prepared to defend what you write and don't cry if somebody calls you out as a liberal, leftist, commie, right winger or religious nut..ok? We're all big kids here.

For the most part, I find everyone here pretty civil. I have noticed that the more we all discuss these things, the more we are all closer on our views overall, than we are apart.

Some never want to get into political discussions...sticking to other distractions like sports or guns or cars or movies. Well, those things are entertaining but they're all distractions when you boil them down. Theres plenty of other forums for non-political talk...are there not?

Politics affects us all and I am sorry...but its necessary to discuss political issues these days. These days political issues are muddied, shook up, difficult and disjointed and we need to talk about issues that affect us all...not just the damn football game or which 9mm hollowpoint works best or Ford vs. Chevy or should I buy this holster or not.

Thanks for opening this back up. I hope we will all learn things and keep an open mind and treat each other with civility for the most part.

In the least - its therapy...at the most...we all might learn something...whats so bad about that?
