Another "don't do as I do, do as I say" moment in the Republican Culture of Corruption.

So... adults are now completely responsible for what their college kid does?

What a shock that the children of some politician are just like 90% of the other kids their age.

I know the guy who ran for attorney general of VA as a Democrat, he holds high family values but one of his girls is worse than the pictures I saw there... I know because I dated her in high school.

While I believe that children are a reflection of the parent, that is not usually the case. Especially in today's cultural ideal that being a rebel and an asshole is cool.

What is that supposed to mean? They aren't hypocritical about family values because... well, they don't have any? That's the only conclusion I came to from that response...

My GF used to live next door to the daughter of a fairly well-known Republican congressman. She was a major pot head. I'm sure she was immune to any sort of legal action because of daddy. That's the sort of hypocrisy I have an issue with. Not that she smoked weed, there's nothing he can do about that. She was an adult, so she's theoretically capable of making decisions on her own. My gripe is that she should have to live with the consequences like everyone else.

That sort of thing transcends political parties, IMO.

Yes it does. And I really could have used some protection like that in my younger years!

It's just not a party, until a drunk chick is throwing up "The Shocker" signs.
