Thank you for all the comments. This is an enjoyable read.
Revolution is the last thing I want to see. Fighting my fellow Americans I find distasteful. But what do you do to wake up people when you see something comming at you full speed ahead? Americans appathy has allowed this current socialist state to raise its ugly head, and with all the smoke and mirrors most can not see its uglyness. I have been thinking about this for a number of years. This THING that is happening in our government I call it Democratic Socialism for lack of a better word. I probably thought about this too much, cause I have put Americans into 4 classes. What do you think? I am not sure of where the Military and LE would place in this. 1) The Ruling Class. These are the politicians, community leaders, judges and lawmakers that are perpetuating the democratic socialist, freedom grabbing change in this country. 2) The Supporting Class. These are the elites that are knowingly supporting this movement. The actors and actresses, the rich, the corporations, professors, teachers, news media, those that vote directly for anti American political parties, organizations, etc…. 3) The Sleeping Class. These are the Americans that have been blinded by the smoke and mirrors that the first 2 classes are using to mask their real freedom destroying intensions. These are the Americans that haven’t woke up yet. They are easily misled. They keep voting for the 2 major parties that are continuing this freedom destroying democratic socialist movement. They use the excuse that “this is they way I have always voted” and they won’t change. If they don’t like the one they vote for the other or worse they don’t vote. They also freely give up freedoms, bit by bit, in the name of safety, security, money or what ever the current “problems” are. This class could include some politicians and community leaders, also law enforcement and the military. 4) The Patriot Class. These are the Americans that have woke up. They see what the first 2 classes are doing. They recognize the third class. They are not violent. They do not hate because of race, religion, or one’s social life choices. They are honest, hard working, tax paying and legal citizens. They are very frustrated and don’t know what to do to save their freedoms. They see all our freedoms slowly, methodically being stripped away. They are afraid to say too much because the Supporting Class will demonize them as conspiracy theorist, Bible thumping, racist, militant, un-American, gun owning wackos and the Sleeping Class will parrot this, joining in on the bashing. Hey, should I just take a prozac and turn in my guns and get in line and not worry about it....................???...........

Absolutely NOT!!!
That would place you in both class 2 and 3 and none of us want to see you do that to yourself. We can't change the world and thats what class 1 and 2 seem to have been doing for too long, only thier intent does not seem to ever be a positive one globally. The fact is you can not force democracy on people that don't want it, you can't end world hunger by depleating your own financial and aggricultural resources and then expecting your own citizens to foot the bill for what they no longer have for themselves and thier families, oh hell this list goes on. What you can do is act for your own country and protect its people as the duies of "class 1" mandate but fail to adhere to. The immigration issue has to come to an end. They are not taking my guns away! I am tired of having to change my lifestyle because someone else from another country refuses to be an american rather than just where the title at times of convenience. In texas they are threatening to fire teachers in our schools if they do not learn spanish fluently enough to teach our curriculum in that language. Is that right? Hell no its not. Those families that brought themselves over here and put thier kids in school should have been doing so under the pretense that thier children would be required to learn english. Too many people are migrating to this country because the dollar is still one of the strongest currencies, we have more jobs available, a solid educational system even thouh it needs some improvement and a government that will put anyone on welfare for an extended time. The money we invest and the money these people earn does not make its way back into the system, instead it goes to those countries these people fled from because they can later be the wealthy where they came from. This has added tremendously to the decline of our schools, state and federal budgets including that of which may have been able to offer more for those unfortunate Americans who lost thier homes and lives from Katrina. And this is not just in regard to the Mexican population either. We are not supporting our country any more, we are supporting countries whos people should take thier own stand and make thier lives better on thier own where they are instead of making it the moral duty of the United States to manage and maintain. That is always the excuse for the influx of immigrants legal or not, to have a better way of life. Well, make your lives better by making change for yourselves because Americans are about fed up to the F%&*ing gills with having to make your lives better every day and we're about to make change on our own...for our selves finally. |

Triggers for a revolution? Well, I'm pretty sure whatever trigger the gun I have in my hand at the time, the trigger on it will be just fine for a revolution!

Well lets see...
Taxation of about 3% brought forth the first revolution, but a combination of well over 50% of our earned monies going to taxes doesn't get too many people motivated. Some even have the balls to suggest those that are successful are not paying enough! High gas prices? Over 3 bucks a gallon barely got anyone out of their Suburbans and Hummers. Nope, double the 3 bucks and people would still not budge. Take away firearms? Well, in 1994, we came the closest to it and still, very little activity. There were some that were convinced at the time that all the guns needed to be rounded up or registered. A phony, expensive war, brought forth by the govt? Nope. Iraq didn't even bring about a switch in ruling party. Swarms of illegal aliens taking over and sucking our social services and entitlement system dry. Nope...some even consider it racist to even suggest punishing those that are actually breaking a law that has been on our books for decades. You know...I really cannot say what might bring about revolution. I don't think theres anything terrible enough. Maybe cutting off cable TV or taking away all greasy fast food might get people off their dead asses in droves, but I have my druthers about that working, either! - Brickboy240

Paranoid, that is very well put.
Hopefully, we can restore this once great nation peacefully. I would hate for it to come to an armed revolt. That stuff's supposed to happen everywhere else.

The easiest revolution starter would be if authorities came to homes to confiscate arms. Greet them at the door with your rifle and offer a choice: leave or find out how effective body armor is against a few rifle rounds. Rally your gun nut friends for an armed, but nonviolent protest and make the gov't fire the first shot.
