Liberal Comics in Sunday Paper

Notice the big increase in Bush ridiculing in the Sunday newspaper comics lately?

Draft dodger Garry Trudeau’s Doonesbury has been relentless with his Bush bashing lately.

And Wiley’s Non Sequitur had a nasty series last week depicting Bush and Cheney as a monkey and a rat

Even the Funky Winkerbean series had a sad story about the tragedy of the Iraq war today.

And the weekday editorial cartoons have been in especially poor taste in their characterizations of the President.

It is obviously getting close to the May Primary elections.

I haven't noticed a big increase in the extent to which Bush is being ridiculed. Doonesbury has been on Bush's case for years. Non Sequitur probably has upped the criticism a bit recently. But, you do support a free press don't you.

My Sunday paper also runs Mallard Fillmore, who is pretty far to the right.

Im pretty sure he supports free press. I am also pretty sure he supports free speech that lets him say whatever he wants about the press.

Well then post a link to these comics. I love a good cartoon no matter who they make fun of. Some of the Cheney hunting ordeal were just f'n hilarious, and I'm mostly a Republican!

At least in he Cleveland, Ohio area conservative bashing is the norm in the comics. I'm not whining really, just pointing out how intense the Press is at doing what they do best - bashing conservative moral values.

So I read through that comic. I couldn't quite pick up on which conservative moral value was being bashed.

Can ya point out which values were beign made fun of?

You still pick up a local newspaper?

Why?

I stopped subscribing and paying attention to our hometown newspaper, because of its far left leaning tendencies a long time ago. Don't miss it one bit. It is owned by some huge conglomerate newspaper corporation in the northeast and repeatedly does not reflect those it serves down here, so I stopped paying for the leftist rag. The Houston Chronicle barely a good for anything but a catbox liner...really.
