Well, we either apply the hate crime law for everyone or we should ditch it entirely.
It should NOT be used as some sort of reparations payback for blacks, while non-whites get a total pass on what is obviously violent behavior that is racially motivated.
Laws like this need to apply to everyone....or no one and be done away with. If not, this type of thing will continue and only get worse.

Well just so you know, I always segregate the blue M&M's.
This doesn't surprise me with the kids. They gather in cliques and act stupid in groups. Kind of like adults.
However, the thing that does piss me off is that very little will be done with that incident because it wasn't a group of white kids beating a black kid.

Regarding the bus video.......Exactly, why I picked the school for my kids that I did, and moved accordingly.

This attitude is by no means new. When I was high school age, I was threatened for looking at a bi-racial girl (half black/half white) by black students. Further, I was invited to the prom out of the blue by a very cute black girl I wanted to go with. However, threats by black students made it impossible for us.
I have appreciated all attractive women, no matter what their race is. I am not in a diverse racial relationship. Maybe that is why. This type of thing has been going on in reverse discrimination for years-it is now just making public light through some articles on the back burner.
I see interacial relationships on occasion and often wonder what difficulties they have been through.
I have had some and do have some very close hispanic friends. They have asked me about my children, what would I think if they were involved in or got married to somone else of a different race. My response?
I really don't care, so long as it is decent person, who are going to treat them right.

I have a good friend that is anglo and is married to a Chinese woman. Another anglo friend is married to a woman of Mexican descent. Both have gone through some troubles and rough spots...most given by their non-white in-laws, believe it or not. Yeah...who knew! The Chinese and Mexican family members of these two girls had lots of problems with their relationships at the outset...not the anglo parents. Odd...but true.
However, their love has kept them together and it seems to be working out well for them. Great..more power to them. I don't have any problems with inter-racial marriages - if it works and you love each other...thats is all that matters.
I guess I never found any non-anglo girls that I had enough in common with, to consider dating or marrying. Too many cultural differences for us to get that close...I guess. I have been friends with many non-anglo women and my Irish-American wife has many non-anglo friends but she too never dated any non-anglos. Does not make us racist, either.
