Cut and Paste

I'd really like to comment/vote on this, but I have no idea what it is in reference to.

I like the full article .... within reason (some get more than a little long) because the poster will often emphasize what they feel is important. That brings a little "depth" and "texture" to the discussion.

I like cut and pastes for the reasons others have given. I like a link to be given as a reference as well. The OP should add some of their thoughts, though I admit there have been times I have found something I wanted members to see but found it right before leaving for work or something and didn't have the time to add much commentary. I do always come back to the thread as soon as I get a chance and participate though. I say let them stay.

I think this is more in reference to those who basically use it as a grenade - throw it into the room and then duck for cover...
I have done cut and pastes once or twice in the past, but only when the article is just informative, and not a biased opinion piece. Usually it is something I have received via email.

I do this with Ron Paul's weekly pieces.

In that case we know what Paul's biases are and basically what his message is, so there's no confusion.

This is the WORST source of 'cut and paste'.

99% of stuff you get in your email is an old-n-busted internet meme.

Personally, I don't really care. What I don't like is that this site just looks like one big spam server. Seems excessive.

But hey, it's cool. I don't mind that strongly. I do feel it needs some of the OP's own thoughts on the subject.

Like most of the C&P isn't even news, it is just an OP-ED piece. Then the OP writes, "this guys got it right". Well good for that guy.

What do YOU THINK?

One of the best things I have ever read on this board was a cut and paste by a MOD. He commented ZERO until the fifth page other than saying permission was granted to copy it.

THE BASICS OF MARKSMANSHIP - Part 1 and Part 2

And for some reason it is a sticky.
