Whatever it is, STICK WITH IT! I'm tired of this crap that the PV is closed, now it's open, but un-moderated, now it's closed because of complaints, now it's open for gun and 2A stuff only, now it's open for everything, blah blah blah. Do it and stick with it. If it's un-moderated, leave it un-moderated.

Maybe there's a way to remove the "report' button from that forum. If someone truly has a problem with a particular thread/ post, they can PM the mod online or all of them. This will take a bit more work on the reporters part, but they can do that if they're truly offended. You may be receiving some of these reports because it's easy to click a button or two.

Also, you know what you're getting into when you have to accept a separate agreement to be in there. If you don't want to be in there because people offend you, leave (except for blatantly obvious CoC violations)!

Personally, I learn a lot from the PV and would like to see it remain open, for all political issues. I know this is a gun forum, but if you're going to use that logic let's get rid of the Video Game forum. In fact, this is a XD website, let's get rid of the AR and AK forums too. There should not even be a sub-group of "Non-Firearms Related" if you're going to use that logic.

I don't want to see any forums closed, AR/ AK, Video game, etc... We have a great group of people with a vast array of knowledge and I have learned a lot from them. Even if it's not firearms related, I have learned a lot.

All in all, please stick with your decision because this flip-flopping is ridiculous. I say leave PV how it is and move on.

For the record, I am not getting reports right now anyway, whether they are not being sent or my mod settings need adjusted I do not know.

The only way to gripe to me right now is via PM and I think I'll leave it that way for now

I am not doing this because of folks griping, I am doing because of what I personally observe in here.

This place is a shade of it's former self and it either needs put out of it's misery or given some good medicine

I thought PV participation was voluntary. I know that if I ever get fed-up with PV, I'll stop participating and maybe even romove it from my group memberships. Simple as that.

There is a big difference between 'heat' taken on an opposing view, and a vitrolistic post demeaning the poster on a personal level.

If that's what you want, the boards should be renamed "No Debate PV. If you are not Far Right, or Hate Obama, Stay Away"

The debate is great. It's the unneeded personal attacks that seem to have gotten all of us here now.

I like the PV section. I enjoy the debates and I have learned a lot from it. I think it should be fairly simple; we have to go through extra work to get in here and it is explained that it is totally voluntary. If someone gets there feelings hurt too bad. Have to tell ya I have never seen a political discussion where someone did not get there feelers hurt. If you dont like other peoples opinions then you should not be in here plain and simple.

PSC, that was VERY well said, thank you! I heartily agree.

I like the PV as well, but the one thing that I think is crap about it is this:
-Someone posts
-more posts and opinioins follow
-some azzhat goes way off topic on the next post to bait responses that have nothing to do with the OP. Makes me want to punch babies.
