Fish or Families? A thread about the government saving the environment.

Originally posted on UniteorDie.org by Powerfangs.

Government shuts down water to California farmers causing dought.

No excuse for this crap. Definately some dirty dealings here. Make sure to watch the congressman from California deliver a pimp smack to congress. Every now and then, common sense prevails.

check out the protest.

Followed by a smackdown in congress.

This is pure lunacy!

The global warming hoaxers & 'endangered species' charlatans have the government by the balls ...and are squeezing the life out of America!

Don't be deceived. They are not concerned about fish, birds, frogs, or some unknown species of plant life ...they are simply motivated by ananarchistic, Hate America mental disease!
This is proof positive that their real agenda of the loony left is to destroy the greatness of America!

It's a bad situation. The farmers get federal water, and a judge ruled that the seriously declining population of smelt was affecting the entire ecosystem of the river, endangering other fish. This farmland is heavily irrigated, and California has a water shortage.

In order to believe this then you'd have to believe that the food chain was a literal, linear chain, and that every other species relies directly on the delta smelt. I.E. the smelt are the ONLY thing that fish X eats and there is no other alternate food supply.

I don't know. Apparently, the judge felt the evidence was there that the decline in smelt would affect the whole Delta.

But the drought and the destroyed agriculture he/she caused with their ruling didn't!?

This would be funny if it weren't so damn deadly serious! Our judicial system has been taken over by Monty Python judgeships!

Pythonesque - (of humour) Surreal or absurd.

Surreal humour is a form of humour, stylistically related to the artistic ambitions of the surrealists, based on bizarre juxtapositions, absurd situations and nonsense. A common element of surreal humour is the non-sequitur, in which one statement is followed by another with no logical progression.

Yeah, some bureaucrat who's probably never set foot in the San Joaquin Delta and doesn't even understand the toll he's taking on American families and cities.

This is why the endangered species act and all this environmentalist crap is a load of horse ****. Nothing is black and white and this proves it. Save a 2 inch fish, destroy agriculture for an entire valley. Worth it? No, not by a long shot.
