Hsb usa?

Maybe it's just me, but this sure doesn't feel like "Happy Birthday, America!" time.

I find the whole thing depressing this year. It feels about like watching y our grandmother on her death bed in a nursing home.

Nobody I know even got fireworks this year due to the economy.
They aren't even having a 4th of July party, we are staying home.

Dang.

Entire cities are staying home.

I've actually seen more people doing something for this 4th of July than I have in years. More businesses closed to celebrate it than I've ever seen, more flags are flying, more fireworks, and a Tea Party in the city park. Around here people are being woke up by all of the BS and starting to care about this country again. I was glad to see it, because if it's happening here it's happening around the country.

I was working at the Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee, and man people were everywhere. Last night we even had illegal fireworks (you know, the BIG stuff reserved for professionals) being fired off behind the hotel off property....

4th of July is pretty much the manliest holiday ever isn't it? It's mandatory you eat meat, grill, partake in setting off explosives... Definitely manly if you ask me...

I've never been in a war zone, but last night, by my house, it kinda felt like one. And I didn't shoot off any fireworks but had to spend about an hour cleaning up the mess that fell on my postage stamp sized property this morning. And fireworks, like firearms, are ILLEGAL in Chicago...

Much to my surprise, after a very slow week and day for fireworks, around 9PM all hell broke loose. They were at it until 2:45AM.

It made me want to go outside and shoot my AR into the ground, who would know it's not a firework? I live in the country enough it would be OK but still not safe enough for me.
