People are going to harbor their own prejudices and dislikes regardless of what the government tries to do to solve the problem. Considering that the problem in the context of today's social environment isn't one being perpetuated by an inequality of law, and may even be compelled by a preference of the law; you leave society to exercise its own demons. Life's not fair, sometimes it downright sucks... It's on you to pick yourself up as an individual and make the most of it. Government can not, will not, and will never be effective in legislating away prejudice and unfairness. The best it can do is ensure equality under the law.

your statement implies that whites were not slaves. They were. Infact the slavic people were slaves for much of europe and the middle east, well past the middle ages.

There were more white slaves in africa in the 1800s at one point, than there were black slaves in america.

I have NEVER heard an african white say what happened 200-400 years ago holds him back.

I have never heard a european white from slave heritage say he was held back by slave history.

Blacks? Most dont know their history, they assume they were slaves, and it just damages the hell out of them ... AND THEY LOVE IT! Its a great excuse to never have to do anything.

My poppas family is from argentina. He was one of the first hispanics in my town to buy a house here ... IN 1954. If his dad wasnt a doctor, his family wasnt wealthy ranchers, and my poppa wasnt an colonel i dont think he would have been allowed in my town.

They want to be bankrolled, not cause they went to school, not cause they have a skilled trade, or an idea. They want WHITES, and JEWS, to bankroll them out of pitty cause they are black, and they dont want to pay bills or be held to the same standard as everyone else.

They want to be the same when it benefits them ... but if things go bad, then they want to be special.

There is nothing holding back blacks but themselves, and each other.

I've noticed some Obama voters are getting mad too but for different reasons.

Part of their anger could be that Obama is not destroying America as quickly as they had hoped. Some destruction of our country has taken place in his 6 months in office, but until all things a sensible person would call good are attacked with the full fury of a die hard liberal, I'm sure they will stay upset.

It is a long hard road.

In the neighborhood where I grew up, lower income, primarily white, many of the guys I grew up with are still there, work minimum wage jobs, have had problems with drugs and alcohol, been in and out of jail. The girls have gotten knocked up, and are on welfare, or married to one of the minimum wagers.

My brother in an engineer and I have a Ph.D.

Both of us wnet into the service. I had the old GI Bill, he had the newer version. We both worked and went to college after the service. I myself worked full time while going to college full time.

The solution is called work your ass off and quit making excuses.
