Ohhh ... Let's talk about smiley's
Start a thread, if you want to talk about smiley's !!!

"Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."
And thus cause these advocates to be considered clinically mad ??

To me, it seems like a clear cut case of a liberalized view of gun control, and thus writings that are based on irrational beliefs and emotions.

The smiley talk is a great diversion, and might cause a few people to forget the OP, but that talk goes against Kermee's warnings, and needs to stop ... Stick to the topic, or don't write.

The issue is the irrational behavior of the liberal mind, and the clinical insanity label these individuals have had attached to them, due to an analysis of patterns.

I must say though, I do find humor in the responses of a few people who have taken offense with the OP ... Perhaps they feel, they fit, the description

I don't find it surprising in the least that you feel this guy is correct. I'd fear you very sick if you didn't agree with him. Just look at your quote. The guy obviously has a core crowd he is pandering too. It's just another entry into the "back slapping" party. Why would anyone who disagrees with this guys statement take the time to pick it apart just for you AZXD? Why would you want a strikingly irrational rebuttal? You posted the OP for two reasons: to get a back slap from those who feel the same way as you and to put your finger in the eye of those who don't.

Several months ago there was a similar article posted about conservatives. As memory serves you were one of those who went ape bananas over it and nearly went apoplectic.

In this thread you apparently have ignored this (yuppicide, #75):

Anybody remember a Government Funded study that came out in '03 called:

"Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition"

It concluded that conservatism can be explained psychologically as a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity".

http://terpconnect.umd.edu/~hannahk/bulletin.pdf

Now to test my theory:

All of the "Conservatives" on here who were so quick to agree with the "Top Psychiatrist" findings that "Liberals are Clinically mad", will now ***** and moan about how the above study is Biased Bullshyte....

...and all the "Liberals" on here, who bitched and moaned about how the "Crazy Liberal" study was Biased Bullshyte, will eat up the "Crazy Conservative" study with a spoon!!!

Seems like people are willing to believe anything, if it fits within their own beliefs and agenda.

In fact theres a word for it:

PROPAGANDA

They want you to hate each other. As long as they can get you to "pick sides" and demonize the oposition, you'll never notice the crap your own side is pulling.

I can't wait until the day when regular Americans wake up, and realize that the "Evil Neo-Cons" and the "Loonie Lefties" are both full of shyte!

They both want total power and control, and niether actually gives a rats ass about you!

As always have a super great day and don't get hit by a bus.

"Liberals clinically mad, concludes top psychiatrist"
Is that like the "Top Men" they had working on the Ark?

Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness

It couldn't possibly be that this Asshat has an Agenda to SELL BOOKS, could it?

"Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to "the vast right-wing conspiracy."

Maybe they meant to say:

Virtually free of activisim....Until now.

Even the setup of his website is catered toward "The Right".

It's called LIBERTYMIND.COM and has a big picture of Mount Rushmore on it.

Has this doctors findings been reviewed by his peers?

Funny that I can't find links to any review of his "study".

Infact, not even on his own sight is there mention of any psychiatrist or Psychologist that agrees with his theory, but it is chocked full of "Praise and Kudos" from nobodies.

The fact that this is one of the first quotes about his book that he has on there is quite telling:

"Dr. Rossiter’s The Liberal Mind is an engaging, easy-to-read analysis on American liberalism. A degree in psychology is not required, and the book itself could very well be of more value to the politically inclined than to psychologists...."
-John Scott, CEO V7 Inc

BTW,

It has just come out that Dr. Rossiter heavily plagerized parts of his book from Dr. Sigmund Freud's Famous work entitled:

"Those other guy's are Doody-Heads"

.

Bait Thread

I have refrained from responding to this thread for the most part. I did comment briefly when it was first posted.

Given the thread was an obvious attempt at baiting, and serves no genuine purpose for politcal discussion, maybe it is time to let it die its well deserved death.
