The Clinton one leaves out that he increased Carter's Community Reinvestment Act lending minimum to a trillion dollars. IMO, a planned companion to the repeal of Glass-Steagle.

All in the name of slowing down recovery. So instead of having people who can legitimately afford these loans, just give loans to whoever so we can get houses sold. We'll deal with the foreclosures down the right. Great plan as it has worked so well in the past.

Gun owner's prayer.... "Oh Lord, if I die, please don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told her they cost."
Republicans Phil Gramm and others in Congress were responsible for Glass-Steagall as well as Bill Clinton.
Yep, Phil pretty much paid the 4.6 Million dollars he got from FIRE back in spades by screwing us with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act: allowing commercial banks, investment banks, and insurers to merge. Greedy bastard.
I hope I don't come across as partisan. I think the collusion and corruption in Washinton that insures our decendants' bondage in servitude crosses party lines and that there may well be a concerted effort in Washington to keep us divided.

Yes, I believe I said in the other thread about this subject that the same poster started that Frank and others in Congress had not learned their lesson.
You're selectively picking articles that back up what you want to believe. There's tons more that attribute blame elsewhere.
all i ask is for 1%, how about .01%...51.01%? would you go there?
if you were riding on a party boat and someone (republicans) in 2004 say, "look out for that reef?" wouldn't they have more credit for trying to right the boat at that point and the others (your crew:democrats) be EVEN more responsible for us all crashing? Come on, .01%, you can do it!
