This was a great joke - too bad Golf Analyst Feherty appologized for it.

Golf Analyst Feherty Sorry for Pelosi Joke in Dallas Magazine - Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com

Quote:
"From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though," Feherty wrote toward the end of his column. "Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."
if this was said during GOP control of the house/senate, no apology would have been made.

haha thats AWESOME!

on the other hand though, it really bothers me when people apologize for their opinions unless they are proven blatantly wrong.

He didn't say he wished that on her, he espoused his belief of what would happen in that situation. Thats nothing to apologize for.

People still going on about comedy or jokes and the inappropriateness of it...

Who gives a crap!!!!

I want to know why my government wants to spend us back to the stone age, and lead us at a full sprint to Socialism!

Its comedy, jokes, satire...sometimes it gets brash, nasty, and may hurt someones feelings..this is America...and you have the bill of NO Rights!
The Bill of No Rights
Quote:
We hold these truths to be self-evident: That a whole lot of people were confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of Non Rights.
  • ARTICLE I -- You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any form of wealth.
More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
  • ARTICLE II -- You do not have the right to never be offended.
This country is based on freedom, and that means the freedom for everyone, not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots and probably always will be.
  • ARTICLE III -- You do not have the right to be free from harm.
If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
  • ARTICLE IV -- You do not have the right to free food and housing.
Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generations of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
  • ARTICLE V -- You do not have the right to free health care.
That would be nice but, from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in government run health care.
  • ARTICLE VI -- You do not have the right to physically harm other people.
If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
  • ARTICLE VII -- You do not have the right to the possessions of others.
If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen TV or a life of leisure.
  • ARTICLE VIII -- You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience.
We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight, if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.
  • ARTICLE IX -- You don't have the right to a job.
All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
  • ARTICLE X -- You do not have the right to happiness.
Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness -- which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
quit whining about stupid crap and stay focused on the stuff that can and will end up costing you your lives (or at least the quality of life) if they continue doing what they are doing!

Good grief, man; get a grip. Humor here and there helps most of us bear the pain of reality, so lighten up.

(I thought it was kind of funny.)

Have a marvelous day,

same can be said about obama's favorite comedian Wanda Sykes...but no one is complaining about her.

let's also not forget all the assassination 'jokes' that were made about Bush and all over the past 8 years.

What makes this over the line or dangerous? Is it possible that he was only telling a joke like Ms Sykes whom you defended on another thread?

Now, it's clear that you aren't consistent and just post to stir the pot. I'm sorry you don't get enough attentiion in your life so you have to draw attention to yourself here. It would also be most appropriate that you forego the name calling when you express a negative opinion. You'd have more credibility in your posts.

I feel sorry for you, Etta. I really do...

I considered deleting this post. However, I think it more appropriate to edit the post to acknowledge that I misread Etta's comments concerning Ms Sykes in another thread and thus, my post here is completely incorrect and I whole-heartedly extend my apology to Etta for my posting. I think it's important to stand up for a mistake and not hide it. I accept the consequences of my mistake and I hope Etta will forgive my error and those reading this thread will not use my incorrect remarks to vilify Etta in any way....

You can't kill the undead with conventional weapons. I'd suggest either a wooden stake or one of the specialty tools at Zombie Tools.

If you held up a copy of the New Testament, or a copy of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" they will shield their eyes and cower. That's when you have the opening to use the wooden stake or the Zombie Tools.

Or, you can provoke a hostage situation by pressing the muzzle of a gun up to a copy of Karl Marx's A Communist Manifesto and threaten to shoot it. Be sure to wear earplugs because the piercing screams emitted by Pelosi can shatter glass from a mile away.
