I think it would be wise to include her recent comments about illegal border crossings not being against the law...

Constitutional support for the removal of Executive Branch officials by Congress is dependent on "Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

That is the only way for Congress to remove a Cabinet member or other Executive office holder. The President could fire her, but the Senate can't.

ETA: Nevermind... I didn't see that you were accusing her of Treason.

SoLasVegas,

I agree that President Obama firing her would be the easiest way to do it. I figured that if there were enough congressional pressure from constituents for her impeachment, she might resign or be let go before the heat got too high. If not, then let the impeachment run its course.

Fire Janet Napolitano

She wanted to chill free speech and freedom of expression by warning off ALL the groups mentioned - make them think twice before saying or doing anything that could be even remotely considered as "subversive" - for fear of being singled out and watched.

And you won't change my mind about that.

ANY government official who:

(a) pulls desperately-needed BorderPatrolmen off the Southern border and sends them to the Northern border

(b) sends Batf agents into the southern border - NOT to help control illegal guns/drugs coming IN but to harass and intimidate gun shop owners on the border and to prevent weapons from going OUT

(c) releases a P.O.S. report like the one mentioned over the objections of their OWN legal counsel simply to squash potential opposition to a government gone mad

and

(d) orders a HALT to I.C.E raids of illegal employers and then turns around and gives those captured "work permits" and CHAUFFEUR SERVICE AT TAX-PAYER EXPENSE should - at the very least - be forced to RESIGN.

Myself, I'm more in favor of the old-fashioned punishment for what could only be accurately-deemed treason.

That every single man and woman on this and other boards aren't hammering their reps for the dismissal of Janet napolitano is totally beyond belief. Pete Alarm & Muster :: Welcome

Are the black helicopters flying over your house yet? I bet you if your rep does forward this off to DHS, you will most likely be under investigation.

But F*CK them. Its your constitutional right to do as you did and I applaud you for it. I only hope that what your shooting for does in fact happen.

She needs to be dealt with and a charge of treason, IMO is too light of an offense for the crap that she has pulled!

Michelle Malkin Janet Napolitano said what?

"Janet Napolitano said what?
By Michelle Malkin • April 21, 2009 08:59 AM

She said this on CNN over the weekend:

KING: A lot of Democrats in Congress want to you investigate [Joe Arpaio]. They think he is over the line. He says he is just enforcing the law and the problem is the federal government.

NAPOLITANO: Well, you know, Sheriff Joe, he is being very political in that statement, because he knows that there aren’t enough law enforcement officers, courtrooms or jail cells in the world to do what he is saying.

What we have to do is target the real evil-doers in this business, the employers who consistently hire illegal labor, the human traffickers who are exploiting human misery.

And yes, when we find illegal workers, yes, appropriate action, some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se. It is civil. But anyway, going after those as well.

Full transcript here: CNN.com - Transcripts

Julie Kirchner gently reminds the DHS Secretary of what the law actually says:

ENTRY WITHOUT INSPECTION IS A CRIME: In fact, pursuant to 8 U.S.C. 1325, crossing the border illegally is a crime–a misdemeanor for the first offense and a felony for the second and subsequent offenses. But of course, ignoring or mischaracterizing the law is a very convenient way for those in power to avoid the laws they find most inconvenient. Sadly, statements such as these are also a signal that Americans will have to wait a long time before their government articulates any credible immigration enforcement policy.

Jena McNeill at The Foundry sees through Napolitano’s parsing:

This ‘interpretation’ of the law by Secretary Napolitano seems to be the latest in an effort by the Obama Administration to scale back interior immigration enforcement efforts in the United States. As recently as March 28th, Napolitano made the decision to delay a series of immigration raids and other workplace actions aimed at finding illegal workers. At the same time, both President Obama and Secretary Napolitano have announced new initiatives intending to send the message that they take the issues at the southern border seriously. But the Administration cannot fight cartels while ignoring illegal immigration—people smuggling is part of the problem, not a separate issue. Legalization will only make matters worse. Granting the people here illegally asylum will only encourage more illegal border crossing. Likewise, failing to enforce workplace and immigration laws will only encourage more to ignore the law.

Yep, that’s The Plan."

Getting mad yet? Pete

Great Part 1 of 2 article on Napolitano:

Family Security Matters » Publications » Exclusive: Is Janet Napolitano Up to the Task of Keeping Americans Safe? (Part One of Two)

There's a poll there, too, that we should hit. Pete

She also recently drew a lot of heat from Canada after she blamed them for letting in the 9/11 Terrorists, when Canada had nothing to do with it. Neopolitan is just a real Rosie O'donnel winner alright.
