I still keep my origional stance that I dislike polls because of their inaccuracies. I do know that a few people on here love polls (especially when it serves their intrests) so here is one for you.

December 28, 2005--Sixty-four percent (64%) of Americans believe the National Security Agency (NSA) should be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that just 23% disagree.

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Americans say they are following the NSA story somewhat or very closely.

Just 26% believe President Bush is the first to authorize a program like the one currently in the news. Forty-eight percent (48%) say he is not while 26% are not sure.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans believe the NSA should be allowed to listen in on conversations between terror suspects and people living in the United States. That view is shared by 51% of Democrats and 57% of those not affiliated with either major political party.

I bet if they had asked the respondents if they supported the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, the results probably would be 90+% in favor even though most Americans are as ignorant of the fourth amendment as they are of the second.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

As far as this "liberal" is concerned, the Bill of Rights is non-negotiable.

Amendment VII

Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

...... As far as I'm concerned these 10 admendments to the Constitution are the heart of American liberty. You can't ignore one without diminishing the rest.

Isn’t it funny how the libs run for the Bill of Rights when their hypocrisy is exposed?

Try having your kid say a prayer during recess in a public school and try to hide behind your right to express your religion that is guaranteed by the Bill of Rights when the ACLU has him expelled.

The next time the terrorists attack us I say we all grab our copies of the Bill of Rights and use it to hit the terrorists over the head, that’ll teach the bastards, we have our rights!

Constitutional Solution; you have the right to own and learn to use a firearm to defend yourself.

Liberal/Democrat Solution; take away everyone’s right to own firearms and wait for Americans to die, then send in the Prosecutor.
