It's the same ol' same ol' when this administrayion gets caught with its hand in the cookie jar they try to create another crisis to divert public attention.

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't start have terror alerts again soon. We haven't had one since before election 2004. I guess there wasn't a need for alerts after the election was won. It's amazing they suddenly stopped after election day in 2004.

The Liberal definition of a criminal - "Whistleblower"! that figures.

I hope the Justice Department nails the alleged criminal bastards, don't you?

Congress (the 12 that matter in this case) were briefed and had the whole thing explained and they discussed it and APPROVED it.......wasnt just GWB acting on his own like your boy Billy C (that would be the boob that was impeached, by the way)........we as citizens have the Right to be safe from terrorism too, if the 4th and 14th are takin litteraly and these poor bastards have their Rights "violated" while theyre planning an attack, awww shucks.

And this is common knowledge, but Bill the Moron Clinton was the KING of coming up with stuff to take the heat off of him and his stoned-coked up administration........lob a few tomahawks into afghanistan and africa because he got caught with more than his hand somewhere......that man was the biggest joke on America since the Ford Pinto.

who are these citizens the gov is spying on??? Its not you or me or our families or our friends or anyone else we know or even give a **** about.............The Gov is not perfect, and I'll call them out when it needs to be done, but times change, and quickly, if we sit around debating silly BS and not acting on intel we're in for a bigger hit than 9-11 was.........and if you think thats crying wolf, then by all means, hug a tree, hug a spotted owl, hug the poor crack heads but most important hug the family cause they're coming to knock the US of our pedastal. If all the libs think they are finished after 9-11 thinking that was good enough, think again. They wont stop until we're dead, the nation folds or we terminate them first.....sounds sh*tty, I know, but it is what it is. The free love, we are the world, kumbyya, kitty cat and sunshine days are past........they get us or we get them first, thats the reality of it. and if we have to "infringe" on the rights of those that want me, you and our families dead, so be it. Havent seen a dem admin do anything proactive in years, they just ***** and moan, glad to see W making an effort !!!

you cant have it both ways, cant ***** that were infringing on the rights, then ***** when we get attacked again and scream that the gov didnt protect us.....its one way or the other...

and I say Holy **** to those that cant understand that. you dont have to like it, but its simple to understand.......one way or the other,

Is there no way to defend the current president aside from bringing up something the past president did?

That's pretty sad you have no defense other than that.

What's even more sad is that if you are so scared of another attack that you are willing to give up the rights this country was founded on, then maybe you'd better consider moving to another country that is safer.

With people like you that live in a constant state of fear the terrorists don't need to attack again, they've already won.

They've completed the mission.

You are the proof.

I can’t help but be amazed the some people believe the notion that the government can fight terrorism without lawful spying on the bad guys. Unfreakenbelievable!

The President has been doing his job, and we all know that the liberals will lie, lie and lie some more to scare the ignorant in this country into falsely believing that spying by the NSA is, all of a sudden, illegal. The absolute proof of this statement is that these same liberals did not disprove of the exact same spying that was performed under the Clinton administration.

While the bad guys are spying on us to prepare for their next terrorist attack, as in the 9/11 attack, the liberals are trying to support terrorist rights to help them kill us.
Yeah, that’s smart, that’s what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are for. Holy Crap. When you’re dead you have no rights you idiots!

If you're so scared that you will give up your rights as a United States citizen then it's time for you to look for a new country to live in.

This is the Oath of Allegiance for the military

I, {insert name here}, do solemnly swear, or affirm, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

This is the Oath of Enlistment for the military.

I, (state your name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States{{, the governor of the state of _______ (for National Guard enlistees)}} and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath_of_enlistment"

Neither one say anything about defending scared citizens. Both say their main purpose is to defend The Constitution of the United States

Just as the president said when he took his oath of office.

The Constitution is the United States. Scared citizens do not represent the ideals of this country or the Constitution.

If you can't live with that and are scared - then move on.

Since President Bush took control of our war on terror after 9/11 very few of us seem to be 'scared', except liberals of course. And no ones' rights have been violated.

You hardly ever see 9/11 terrorist attack mentioned in the mainstream Press. You hardly ever see stories about possible terrorist attacks in this country anywhere. Most people seem to have forgotten about the potential for terrorist attacks in the USA obviously because the NSA and other national security agencies are finally doing their jobs – thanks to the Partriot Act.

Why weren’t you concerned about being ‘scared’ of losing your rights during the reign of President Bill Clinton?
