I agree, Frenchy. But people are going to expect instantaneous results from Obama. But do they look at the long-term structural and allocation problems in our economy.

YEP, I was right .. Miss anti-military is in the house.

She never brings up other ways to cut expenses.
Everything she supports costs money ... Lot's of money, and often requires the expansion of government to achieve such goals.

Ron Paul has stated that our Empire is stretched too thin, but there has to be considerable thought on streamlining and not weakening.

I agree. I just listened to this interview. You might find it interesting.

If people are expecting instantaneous results, it's because the rhetoric and promises of his campaign reached out too far. As far as skepticism, even some of the White House agencies are speaking out against the current situation being pushed with deliberate and fearful speed. If you're concerned about the economic impact of operating military bases in Italy during a recession, write some letters. Bush is no longer the president. If Obama feels that they should be closed, he has the authority to do so as he has ordered with Gitmo. The Bush hating at some point has to stop. You have a president you voted for who is obviously willing to take action. Take your concerns up with him.

Most liberals worship Obama, despite what it costs our country. I think the question is excellent. Since we are asking, why do we need to spend $500 billion on Democrat pet projects??? do you have any idea how many carrier groups we could buy with that?
