Geert Wilders to be prosecuted for criticizing Islam

It is, indeed, a “black day” for freedom of speech — and freedom of thought — as a Dutch court rules that parliamentarian and anti-jihadist filmmaker Geert Wilders should be put on trial for his criticism of Islam. Diana West calls on the West to defend him. Jim Hoft has much more.

Geert needs to be defended and I would welcome him to America if given the chance.

Heck, he should apply for Amnesty based on religious/political persecution. Though, judging by the next 4 years, he may need to then apply from the same from Canada.
I dunno what else to say, the entire world is mentally defective, at least the people in charge. The people bitch a LOT, but do NOTHING, it's the same EVERYWHERE! I don't understand how things got this way, common sense is DEAD. The people that are in the wrong have the advantage in every situation.

I say we adopt a policy of social isolation as a nation within the global community. We tend to have enough internal social retardation and do not need the external influence as well.

I would imagine considerable pressure has been brought to bear on the Dutch government by the country's large (and continually growing) Muslim immigrant population. If this is left unaddressed, I'd imagine the secular authorities are concerned with the Religion of Perpetual Outrage's adherents doing what they usually do: rioting, burning cars, injuring and killing innocent bystanders, and generally upholding the title of the Religion of Peace.

In my experience it requires a profound faith to believe that, against all observable tendencies, elegance, complexity, and organization arise spontaneously from chaos by purely random means. The upshot is that at the end of the day, despite claimed adherence to pure reason, we're all people of faith.
