When I first saw the thread title, I thought you'd mistakenly hit the "2" key twice, and somebody was trying to repeal the entire Second Amendment. I was prepared to be pissed. Now, having comprehended the situation, I find myself merely mildly annoyed and slightly bemused.

lots of bills get submitted every year but never go anywhere. when you have to worry is when they get significant co-sponsorship and start to move through comittee.

I hope that's not to say that you're allowing yourself to become complacent? The door for it has already been opened, after all, with the repeal of the 18th Amendment. Of course, the absurdity of the 18th Amendment altogether notwithstanding, Prohibition should have never been anything more than a simple federal law (yes, I agree it shouldn't have been enacted in the first place, but for the sake of making a point here..).
The 18th Amendment was a abuse of Congressional authority in every way (you may notice that no other substance, such as cocaine, heroin, etc. has been outlawed by Constitutional amendment, but only by federal law), but it has presented an inherent danger by allowing for a precedent for an amendment to be repealed to be set.

Nah, I just know how to ration my outrage. This particular issue is currently on "slow burn", but possibly with a future downgrade to "mug warming" or a slight escalation to "light simmer" as events warrant.

Honestly, I'm not certain how I would feel about the 22nd being repealed, aside from my fears of another precedent being set for the repealing of a Constitutional amendment. I mean, it didn't go into effect until some 27 years before the country celebrated its Bicentennial, so it seems to have not been much of an issue before then. What would worry me infinitely more is a move to suspend elections altogether.
