Its offensive and a truly childish type of speech to begin with. If you cannot see this...you are blinded by leftist ideaology. Why do some feel that because blacks had a rough row to hoe early on in America, that it is perfectly ok for them to bash or take swipes at anglos at every turn today? How is that supposed to "heal" anything?

The best thing they all could have done that day, was to NOT mention race anywhere in their speeches. Just leave it out....its not supposed to matter...right? Supposedly, as a nation, we have moved beyond race...correct? This is what they all are saying.

However, what we saw was a day that was jam-packed with speeches and talk that brought up race and racial injustices every chance it could.

...

The Obama supporters here still cannot see the forest for the trees. They still cannot see that many of us are highly critical of and don't care for the man because of his policies and political voting record and views. You all marginalize us as racist, but deep down you all must know that you have backed an empty suit that surrounds himself with race baiters and race hustlers that are thirsty for some sort of revenge on white people.

I can see your point, but another one is also begging to be made, if racism isn't a problem shouldn't a person be able to make the claim that "so and so is racism" and then have that claim subject to analysis? I've been southern raised my whole life, and spent a good portion of that time under the control of black politicians, even voted for a couple that I knew. mainly I think that what needs to be learned is that African Americans make just as poor politicians as Mighty Whitey, and that we are all individually responsible for doing the right thing regardless of law or public policy.
I hope I make sense

racism is an ugly thing...
speaking of ugly, ya'lls mamas' so ugly their daddies had to tie a pork chop around their neck just to get the dog to play with them!

Obama and the other speakers that day COULD have brought up the policy changes they plan to impliment and how they are going to benefit or change America for the better. Since they all thought that Bush and the mean ol' whiteys were sooo terrible, politically, this should have been easy. But we saw none of this. No talk about how they plan on making everything better in America. Sorry, but this leaves alot of us to believe that they have no plans worth mentioning and, as we thought, this was all about race.

Thats a laugh.

Of course I watched it. How else could I come to this conclusion?

Tell me where I am wrong about what I saw.

Oh...thats right...you never respond with a logical answer, when called on the carpet for making wildly inaccurate remarks.

Aside from one phrase in Rev. Lowery's Benediction, what racist speech are you talking about? I didn't hear any.

Is that the "cute" line that the old racial divisionist used that you're referring to?

how much is the racist threshold these days? I wasnt aware the speech needed to contain X amount of racist phrases to cross over from being charming, or cutesey, or inspiring into just plain racist.

Hilter was inspirational. So there for he was not racist. He was charming, he invoked change, and brought people together.

KKK rally no doubt would draw line like the preacher about what each race "is supposed to do" and you would be appalled.

Your values are completely subjective, it matters to you who says it, not what they say. Who the guilty partys is, buys one more or less room to "not be racist".

Ie a sample of blacks in mug shots to you was racist, and two white guys were a shallow attempt to avoid obvious racism (as if the racist fairy made young male blacks wild, and tells them to fight and steal cars, sell drugs, and not think beyond dieing with as much money as they can at age 26). THATS RACIST ! Actually holding blacks to the same laws as whites is racist to you. Holding a preacher to an equal standard is somehow NOT racist cause he called out whites, and you are a self loathing white, so of course you agreed with him 100 % and even thought it was cute.

How many single hard working black mothers would think a racist rhyme calling all black females X was cute if a grand dragon said it at a podium at the town square. He would have a better chance of being shot on the spot, than anyone thinking it is cute. All i did was flip flop the speaker and the subject of the criticism. Yet the outcome is different, therefore its racist.

You seem to confuse nice, and even patronizing with racial equality. Treating grown black, voting adults as little kids who cant follow the same laws, is patronizing as much as calling a grown black man "boy".

Hitler had a nice message too, if only you "choose" to ignore those pesky little words he used.

Typical liberal defense.....No listen to his heart he is a nice old man that living through a difficult time in history, we should make excuses for him, treat him special, everyone is equal except you "wrong whites", besides he didn't mean what he said he was simply speaking from the depth of his non racial soul, ahw how cute he rhymed, coming from a minority that is not racist he is just expressing how he feels, what a rawlsian circle-jerk blah, blah, blah....

The message was that all the other races are "somewhat patiently" waiting for the "whites" to figure it out and do what is right.

Being a minority does not excuse racism or discrimination.

A couple of years ago I was told I was not eligible for a promotion at work because only asians would be considered.

I don't like being a victim of discrimination any more than a minority citizen does.

Definition of a white male: No excuses.
