It has been a long time coming and they are finally here and in stock.

For those who are going to ask, this rear sight is compatible with the XD stock front sight, or any front sight of equal height that is to be used with the stock XD rear sight, such as the Dawson front as well as the Hi-Viz front sight.

For a long time I have been lucky enough to have warren sights for my XDs. These sights are absolutely fantastic for competition or carry!

No I am afraid I have not. I am not really into guns and shooting to that degree yet so I am quite ignorant of some of the top names.

Just wanted to know what makes these sights what they seem to be advertised as.

The profile of the rear blade helps draw the eye to the knotch. The lack of high outside corners allows you to see more of the target. The notch is NOT a square, rather the inside corners are radiused (similar to a U). The radiused corners help the brain align the front sight quicker.

WOW, I asked you about these sights last year. For over a year they had on their website that these were coming soon for the XD. Glad Warren finally released them for sale. Last night on the outdoor channel, on Shooting USA I think, they were talking about the USPSA Nationals and the guns used by the competitors. A lot of them had Warren Tactical sights. I remember that at least one of them had the same set up as your bottom picture, with the Dawson rear. Uh Oh, Dawsons are out of stock, well I have waited over a year. A few more days wont be so bad.
