[quote=dolhasso;1207498]The profile of the rear blade helps draw the eye to the knotch. The lack of high outside corners allows you to see more of the target. The notch is NOT a square, rather the inside corners are radiused (similar to a U). The radiused corners help the brain align the front sight quicke

sounds great in theory

It has been suggested that I switch to these sights, at least on the rear. I have been shooting USPSA for 4 years now. David's reputation precedes Him. I guess my concern is for the shooter with OLD EYES. I see fine far away. Close up, like reading, is a problem. That is why I went with Fiber front & rear. Hence my reluctance to do without rear fiber. Comments ??? Thanks.

For the close stuff, the fiber in the rear will only slow you down. With fiber in the front, you will be just fine, IMHO.

I was thinking about getting this sight in the rear with a Trijicon up front, are these two compatible? Is this a good idea? This gun's main purpose is concealed carry first and target shooting second, nothing competitive though.

From everything I have read, SIG had nothing to do with the design of the XD/HS2000. Springfield licensed the design from IM Metal.

Now, the HS2000 predecessor, the HS95, looks like a Sig 226 clone. Maybe that lineage explains the Sig sight compatibility.

Many people actually develop a sight picture faster in competition if they use a black rear sight and a FO front sight. That way, you are looking for only a single dot.
