Oh man, that's awesome. I'm putting a XD-M on my short list.

I assume this means I can use a 357SIG tactical barrel in an XDM as well?

I'm looking to get the XDM but really want the 357SIG option.

The barrel we offer for the XD-M is the same that we offer for the XD40 Tactical. Because the conversion barrel is 1/2" longer than the stock XD-M barrel, the conversion barrel will stick out. Other than the length of the barrel on the conversion barrel, it will drop in.

Perhaps this answered your questions?

I can also confirm that it works well. And with the new base pads that are in the mail I'm looking at 25 + 1 one of 9mm or 20 of .40. I shot a match with it in 9mm dress a week or so ago and after I went back to factory loads (I still have some spring rates to work out with the handloads) it ran flawlessly. NO I will not post the results of the match as I had a 90 second first stage.......(friggin bunny fart loads)

what governing body (USPSA?) and what division (Limited Minor?)

Allows a caliber change to create a gun that does not exist from the factory and stay within the rules?

As you know, your gun will need to be set around your ammo. A bullet weight and velocity will may change your POI. If you run lighter loads, you may need a lighter spring too.

I bet the 9mm loads ran sweet in that gun.

This particular match is a Hybrid and is run on local rules. The others that I shoot I shoot Limited Major IPSC and run .40

Yea, as soon as the skinny guide rods are back in for the M I will work out the spring rate, but even with the factory loads the recoil on the gun is almost nothing!!! I will post some video of my wife shooting it and you can barely see any mussel rise at all even with very rapid fire. I gotta tell you I am VERY impressed with that barrel.
