MAGLOCŪ Push Button Trigger Lock

Scott, I have some questions about this item listed on your site:

MAGLOCŪ Push Button Trigger Lock

I seem to remember a thread about this, but I couldn't find it.

I believe it has adjustable pins that you can move around when unlocked to hold the gun firmly in place when locked. Can you arrange the pins so that the locking post CAN NOT be pressed back into the trigger? Normally I would never advocate a trigger lock on a loaded gun, but this item seems to be designed for just such a use.

What can you tell me about this product?

The pins allow you to customize the lock for the individual gun. For me, I set one pin behind the trigger, so the trigger can't go backwards. That said, you should never put a trigger lock on a loaded gun.

I like them and use them. They are handy and can easily be mounted.

I saw that site as well, but I wanted to get Scott's feedback. At the bottom of the installation page, it reads:

If you find that this 'Push Button Trigger Lock' cannot prevent the trigger of the locked firearm from activating, stop using the lock immediately and seek opinion from and expert or a gunsmith.
I want to know if you can load an XD, lock it in this trigger lock, and if it will effectively block the trigger from being pulled.

Please try and follow my line of thinking here.

I do not like trigger locks.

Guns that you don't want available for use should be unloaded and locked up appropriately, in a safe, storage container, whatever.

Guns that you need to have available for use should be loaded and under your immediate control.

There lies this little in-between area for me, which is at night and the early morning, when I am not dressed and able to stap on the ol' hogleg. I've been dealing with it by putting the loaded gun, still in the holster, in my drawer next to my bed at night. It's a loaded gun that is not under my immediate control. Since I have a little girl crawling around, and pulling on the drawer handles now, this option is quickly becoming unacceptable.

I am looking for something with a push button type quick access lock, no keys, that is small, and affordable. I know about many of the small safes, but it is either small and more pricey OR affordable but bigger and/or has a key lock.

I guess I am open to comments and suggestions.

You can get this lock open and access to your gun in less than 3 seconds. I think this will meet your needs.

Ok, but would you trust it enough to leave it loaded?

For liability reasons, I cannot recommend this.
