My wife's new HS2000: You have to see these pics!

I have been asking (begging) my wife to go shooting with me for a couple of years now, knowing she would enjoy it. I also think is is important for her to know how to handle a gun for the times when I am not around.

During our recent Group Shoot, many of the guys asked her if she was shooting too, and she said no several times over. During the ride home, I asked her a direct question. What will it take for you to go shooting with me? She said, and I quote, "When they start making pink guns". Well, little did she know, that was easy.

I bought a used HS2000 from Bubbaman and sent it to Rich at Canyon Creek for some trigger work and a nice fresh coat of PINK GunKote. While Rich worked on the gun, I ordered a custom holster from Blade-Tech to match her new gun.

A note to all of you in the same position. Not only does my wife LOVE her new HS2000 and "cute" holster, but she asks me when we are going shooting next, often. I am in heaven.

Great job!! and the perfect way to do it too, not 'why won't you go?', but 'When or what will it take...' and then doing it.....

and on top of all that, you may have started a whole new line for yourself and Rich......Have fun and safe shooting!

lol... first word that comes to mind... "wow!"

I wonder if that'd work on my gf. hehe.... i think the other mermaidchaser has a point... you might have stumbled upon a great new idea to hit an otherwise untapped market. All the female shooters i've known were much like the male shooters i've known... but perhaps this type of product line would bring over those ladies who don't feel shooting is feminine enough.

haha... i can see it now... the line expanding to include purses with hidden quick draw compartments for concealed carry offered in the ever popular patterns of pink, zebra and the likes... haha...

OH I Love it. How much was this, my wife has said that she would like a gun but would want a pink one or one with hello kitty junk on it.

Not to be too cliché, but it was "priceless". Seriously, the total when all said and done was around $450, however I have something I have wanted for awhile. A shooting buddy who is also my best friend.

I highly recommend the approach. It is easy to pick up a used firearm (many for sale on this forum) and get it in the the hands of an expert who can confirm that the gun is in good working order, who can also change the color to meet your "needs". Rich did a fantastic job with this gun.

More than 20 people have seen this gun on the range, and all of the said it was great. Not because the gun is great, but because my wife now wants to shoot. Can you tell that I am happy and proud

Not to mention, if she ends up having to use it in a defense situation, she may never have to fire it as the perp will laugh himself to death.

Glad she's into it. She seemed like a cool lady at the shoot.

Now, something you need to make sure she understands... If you have a flashy gun like that, you better be good because you WILL draw a crowd.
