My wife has staked claim on what was once my Ruger P95. She loves it, shoots it every time I take her to the range, and when not otherwise being used for plinking she has no reservations about having it sitting in the nightstand when I'm out of town for business. I think I got lucky in that she wants to shoot every firearm I have in the house, wants to understand how they all work, how to load/unload, shoot, clear and check all of them. Though I've never thought of asking her if she'd like it in a different color. Might have to bring that up.

Reminds me of an article in Men's Health Magazine a few months back. The writer was a newbie to the world of guns. He wanted to get a gun for personal protection, and was asking several people about it. One of them answered with a question: "Would you have a pink gun?" I immediately started laughing. But then I read the rest of it. His point was that if you really needed a gun for protection, and viewed it as a tool with a specific purpose, it wouldn't matter if it was bright pink. He said that looking cool was not the main objective of a gun, that function was. And if you are just wanting a gun to look cool, then you shouldn't have one. Makes a lot of sense. If a pink gun is what your wife wants, and she will learn to shoot better as a result of it, then job well done. I'll have to show this to my wife to see what she thinks.

The server is down. We are moving to a new box, hence the red-x. It should be up today.

That's because I have not added those pics yet. They are on a list of things to do. Sorry.
